For all those R4 3DS owners it looks like there is a new 3DS firmware update on its way. The latest rumour is that it will be released on the 8th December and will be called v2.2.0-0E.

If you own a R4 3DS card and are happily using it with your 3DS console running firmware v2.1.0-4E or earlier then we would suggest not updating to the new firmware straight away. Often new firmware can stop your R4 card from working until a new R4i 3DS compatible kernal is released by the R4 manufacturer. Normally these compatible kernals are released quite soon after the new firmware is available, so you are not left waiting too long.

So our recommendation is to hold off updating your 3DS console until the R4i manufacturer has released the new kernal, this way you can keep using your R4 3DS card with out issue.
