Top 10 R4 DS Homebrew – Get Voting

04/10 UPDATE: See the top 10 best DS Homebrew results. There you can read an interview with the developers of each of the 10 top. I’ve also provided links so you can download and install all the best DS homebrew games on your console while you count the days until you get your hands on a 3DS
Below are the games and applications taking part in our R4 DS Homebrew Contest. A lot of time and effort has gone into creating each of them. They are given out to us for free. Now it’s your chance to reward whoever you think is the most deserving of taking a share of the $500 prize and being recognised in our chart as the best DS Homebrew.
Download DS Homebrew and see the list of all the games and apps which entered the contest.
To vote for up to 3 pieces of software, simply leave a comment in the following format.
1. Homebrew name (3 points)
2. Homebrew name (2 points)
3. Homebrew name (1 point)Your Comments (optional)
The Top 10 R4 DS Homebrew Chart will be compiled based on the number of points received for each piece of software.
You are encouraged to try as many of the games and apps as you can before casting your votes.
Votes/comments will not be displayed immediately but all approved votes up to a certain point will be published occasionally. Check back here for updates on how the voting is going.
You are welcome to encourage friends and web users to vote for whoever you like but multiple votes per household are not allowed. Without giving too much away, I have several ways of checking for cheats. Cheating can cause disqualification.
It’s not too late to enter and win a share of the $500 R4 DS Homebrew Prize. You won’t have as long to gain votes but you can still email your name, the name of your software and your website address to r4contest@r4revolutionds.co.uk to get added to the poll. We won’t send you any spam, sell your address or anything else naughty.
You can cast one vote for yourself.
If you have a question or a comment you would like seen quickly, please do not include your votes with it. This way I can put your comment up without giving away your votes early.
I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone votes. Good luck to all the contestants.

It’s great to see the homebrew scene is still thriving. Quite frankly, I thought I was kinda late with the stuff and a lot of the projects I was interested in were already abandoned… A lot of the stuff on this list looks interesting, so I’ll be trying out a lot of it.
Colors!, DSLearnJ, and MoonShell are my top three most used homebrew programs. I thank all homebrew developers for giving my DS so much more meaning. Most people just get flash carts for ROMs, but I got one because I thought Colors! and other homebrew software looked interesting; I was always just drawing in Pictochat in my spare time, but the tools suck and you can’t save pictures…
I think “A Touch of War” should’ve been on this list
It gave me a good number of hours of fun. It’s too bad it hasn’t been updated for so long, though.
